Inside Out magazine

laptop is dying a slow death here with more lines appearing across the screen, so i haven't bothered with scanning all pages in the latest Inside Out Christmas (YAY!) issue featuring miss béba cushions + brooches.. just a taster of the cool photography.
all you need to know is, a lovely lady by the name of Shannon Fricke styled the great kids story titled 'angels & little demons' and seriously, do yourself a favour and check out her ridiculously beautiful blog (..unlike mine) and if anyone's interested, drop me an e-mail for purchasing info or come along to the Balmain Art & Craft Show happening this weekend. i won't be there selling my handmade wares, but little Christmas elves will.. i met them today when i drove over to Balmain to do a drop off.. they're lovely, and they don't bite. very important! (yes. deliriously. tired)

b u g g e r

i'ts Friday and i'm upset. a couple months ago, a faint line appeared on my laptop. i thought.. hmm, that's weird? but, just today.. 2 more. this now brings the total to 8. not good. i fear the LCD screen is about to blow. big time. upset. will have to make some calls on Monday. i'd take a photo to show this hideous sight, but my camera died mid year didn't it!
and so, i've decided.. I DO NOT LIKE TECHNOLOGY.

Your Skout Trade Fair membership has been approved!

miss béba joined Skout about an hour ago. what does this mean? not sure. will have to check it all out sometime soon. otherwise, no rest for the wicked as lots of sewing here trying to get some of these orders out and happening!
today was so divine in Sydney. love love love. Spring is almost here! ..can anyone tell that i haven't got a camera at the moment? that's why all these posts are naked. bah! it's on my list of work things to buy (way down the bottom)

..small things amuse :)

now that i've worked out how to follow on other people's blogs (hmmm.. still no idea why my tiny profile pic doesn't show up on blogs i'm following) i see i have a reading list on my dashboard.
i think this is brilliant people! at a glance, i can see what's being posted by others. love it. sewing away orders here, but all good as Sydney weather is getting warmer by the day! love this more!

w o w !

check this out if you're Liberty fabric mad like me! looks like the Carnaby Street entrance wall painted in cheerful Betsy print is up!

also showing on the 4th floor in the Liberty store, is an exhibition called Prints Charming running from the 8th August - 2nd September, dedicated to all things iconic Liberty style.
so wish i was in London this Summer *sigh*

i heart Life Instyle { Melbourne }

so excited! (i do realise i have to stop saying this) miss béba had fun at Life Instyle down in Melbourne last week, but i didn't take a camera along so the lovely Dione of fish lilly (one of the many cool people i met in the Kids Instyle section) has offered to e-mail some pics. and somehow, i managed to score a corner posi last minute.. prime real estate in trade show/market circles! anyway, really pleased with the overall positive vibe at the show, keen interest + orders received = i should probably be very stressed with all the sewing that needs to be done for Aug/Sept deliveries, but visualising reaching 20+ stockists come end Sept, has given me Superman stamina! alas, i do resemble a troll but you can't have it both ways. will update new stockists on the site early Sept X

+ another quick mention here on the LMNOP blog :)

(if in Melb, check out the Salvador DALÍ, Liquid Desire exhibition at the NGV. also, the gallery shop had a good selection of divine stationary by o-check design graphics. good fuss free functional design, and i freaking. love. every. single. piece)

feeling the love!

not too sure why i'm writing this as all these sad (0) comments spell no one is reading, but it's cool (and, quite funny really)
the universe is transpiring. something is strangely stirring, in that miss béba has been inundated with wholesale enquiries these last few weeks and asking/calling/e-mailing retailers to wait until August post trade show happening soon (too soon for my liking) yes. most bizarre, but most welcome as i really don't make a point of contacting retailers. truly following my bliss with loving what i make and do, so hip hip hoorah! wishing all the (0) commentators out there goodness, love, a warm blanket (because it's brrr) and a great week X

ok, i think it's fair to say Tiny and Small was Big! it was a great 3 days of sales, feedback + fun and such a high quality environment to retail. i hope Magnolia Square pops up in Sydney more often!

i'm excited. seriously excited people. the flu that kept on giving and that i thought would never leave, has finally left the building. and, YAY for sunshine being back in Sydney after what seemed like endless days of rain! still, today's sunshine (or lack of) hasn't helped these pics which seriously looked better in the flesh.. more life + colour. but hey, i am a crap photographer.

great news, Magnolia Square is just around the corner!
popping up for the 1st time here in Sydney next week, July 2, 3 and 4 at Randwick. come and say hello!

sneak peek.. pictured are miss béba cushions. they are divine
(of course, i would say that) and a super lovely stockist for these
in Paddington, Sydney is Ruby Slipper.
also pictured, is just one of 4 styles of Fair Trade jute baskets ranging from $45-$95. absolutely divine too. trust me. more importantly, they are beautifully made by talented artisans and are an ethical purchase, helping to support sustainability in developing communities. and, i just love them. yum.
check out The Dharma Door for more Fair Trade products.

only one new retailer on board this month, the other 3 look like they'll now roll into July.. which is not far at all. i'm convinced someone has pressed fast forward! will update stockist info on
the website then. better get back to it, lots to make and do X

i felt compelled to post today, a blog probably needs 1-2 entries a week to make it worthwhile + it's been a week already.
ok, news is i have flu. it's bad. which is not good. but, on a positive note there are 4 new stockists happening for June. i'll be sure to post details once product hits these stores. they'll be stocking
miss béba hair candy, which i think have reached tipping point.
a great read here is 'The Tipping Point' by Malcolm Gladwell.
it explains the magic of how things spread like wildfire!

U K - V O G U E

purchased this May edition of UK Vogue last month, but i haven't had time to go through it properly until this morning, when it fell out of my (ridiculously overstuffed) IKEA metal drawers trying to get to some fusing. the reason i payed $18.95, it had a feature on Liberty prints + other interesting ways to wear.. as shoe laces, tied around a clutch, cuffs, strips roughly sewn onto a cardi etc.
+ i'm loving these grey cotton voile harem pants (pictured in the middle) but, not for 215 GBP. ouch.

too much excitement! receiving fabric, especially Liberty fabric is like Christmas (every single time!) shipment finally arrived today, with these pics taken using a lovely friend's camera as my digital camera has recently decided it will now only take out of focus pics thank you! yes. fun. these 3 designs will go towards A/W10..
the first 2 purple toned pics are substitute prints as what was originally ordered came to be out of stock, which i had to quickly get over as it's not life and death. it's just fabric. but now they're here, i am in love! good thing i like quirky, as the top pic called FLORA BO is a little out there. middle pic is in divine Kingly Cord, and goes by the name of TATUM and the last pic called TORIA could make for a good unisex print as i frequently get asked about product for little boys (by the way, this design looks much better in real life) it's been a crazy busy time, with life getting in the way of late. looking forward to tying up some loose ends on orders this w/end so next week, these lovelies and i can get better acquainted!
